MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian customs service clears over 3,700 tonnes of essential commodities every day, representatives of the State Customs Committee told BelTA.
According to the source, every day as a matter of priority the Belarusian customs service clears over 3,700 tonnes of essential commodities – food and medical goods – or as much as 250 semi-trailer trucks. As many as 60% of them transit Belarus to Russia while 40% are cleared as bearing goods for domestic consumption.
The source noted that upon instructions of the head of state the customs service had enabled all the necessary conditions to allow essential commodities to cross the Belarusian part of the border fast and smooth, including transit goods.
