MOSCOW, 29 November (BelTA) – Plans are in place to hold a strategic session on the development of cooperation in the CIS in Minsk in June 2025, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko told the media after the CIS Economic Council meting in Moscow on 29 November, BelTA has learned.
“We discussed approaches to the preparation of the strategic session to be held in Minsk in June as part of the CIS Economic Council. During the session we will consider all relevant topics of our interaction. This concerns first of all our economic interaction, transportation corridors, issues of energy cooperation, technical regulation, food security in the CIS,” Igor Petrishenko said.
In his words, in H1 2024 the CIS countries posted an average GDP growth of 4.7%. “This is a very good indicator. Domestic trade within the CIS is also on the rise. This shows that we are moving in the right direction,” the deputy prime minister said.
