MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – The state focuses on the development of regional business, Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said during his visit to Dyatlovo District of Grodno Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
The minister visited the Izokom Plast enterprise and met with its labor collective. The key topic of discussion was the main political event in our country: the presidential election. Yuri Chebotar emphasized that participation in the election gives everyone an opportunity to express their opinion and influence the country's future.
He also informed the workers about the country’s economic progress, answered their questions and examined the status of the investment project to expand the production of pre-insulated and water pipes at the enterprise. It was noted that the project is being implemented on schedule.
According to the minister, nowadays the government focuses on the development of regional business. "It is important that the implementation of such business initiatives helps to ramp up production and create new jobs. The tools of the updated investment legislation, the One District, One Project initiative and others are aimed at supporting promising projects. Enterprises, especially in small towns, should more actively use these opportunities for their development," Yuri Chebotar said.
He also toured the Dyatlovo branch of the Molochny Mir dairy and the Trial Expert company. The minister discussed sales, financial situation and future plans with the heads of these organizations.
