MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The official visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Uzbekistan led by Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has concluded. The total value of the contracts and agreements signed amounts to nearly $110 million, the government’s press service told BelTA.
Matters related to deepening bilateral cooperation were discussed during Aleksandr Turchin’s meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan. The two-day visit also included talks with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and visits to several industrial sites. The Belarusian prime minister explored the operations of the Samarkand Automobile Plant (SamAuto), which has played a key role in developing Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure for a quarter of a century. In addition, Aleksandr Turchin visited the showroom of the SAG (Sam Antep Gilam) group of companies, the largest carpet and textile holding company in Central Asia. The prime minister also reviewed the production facilities of the Servolux group, which is implementing an investment project in Uzbekistan to establish an agro-industrial complex specializing in poultry meat and feed production.












In Tashkent, the head of the Belarusian government laid a wreath at the Independence Monument in Yangi Oʻzbekiston Park – a 60-meter stele crowned with an installation of the Huma bird, which is a symbol of peace, prosperity, and freedom. Aleksandr Turchin visited the TEXNOPARK production complex, located in Yashnobod District of the capital on the territory of the former aviation plant. He also toured the Termez International Trade Center. 










Aleksandr Turchin took part in the fourth meeting of the Uzbekistan-Belarus business council.
