Belarusian food store opens in Russia’s Magadan

MOSCOW, 4 November (BelTA) - A Belarusian food store has opened in Magadan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Magadan Oblast government.

The press service recalled that the expansion of Belarusian food supplies to Magadan and the opening of a store were discussed during a meeting between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Governor of Magadan Oblast Sergey Nosov.

"The products from the friendly nation, particularly cheeses and sausages, have always been in high demand among Kolyma residents. People choose them for their organic ingredients, GOST standards, and traditional recipes,| said Tatiana Rudneva, Head of the Trade, Food, and Processing Industry Department at the Ministry of Agriculture of Magadan Oblast. According to her, the range available to Magadan residents has now been significantly expanded: the store offers confectionery, frozen products, meat semi-finished and other products at affordable prices.

Tatiana Rudneva added that an agreement was reached with the store's management to reduce prices across the entire range of Belarusian products compared to the retail cost of goods on the shelves of other retail outlets.
