MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov met with founder of the ZubrAgro company Vitaly Miganovich in Astana on 1 April, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan told BelTA.
During the talks, the parties reviewed the results of efforts to promote Belarusian agricultural products and Belarusian equipment on the Kazakh market in January-March 2026 and outlined strategic areas for developing cooperation through the end of the year.
Ambassador Aleksei Bogdanov and Vitaly Miganovich also discussed the formation of a Kazakh delegation to visit the 36th international specialized exhibition Belagro, which will be held on 2-6 June as part of Belarus’ agro-industrial week.
Belarus and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations on 16 September 1992. Both countries have embassies. Bilateral negotiations and meetings between the presidents of the two states are held regularly, including within integration platforms. The legal framework of cooperation includes more than 80 international agreements.
Kazakhstan is among Belarus’ most important trading partners in terms of export volume, including within the CIS. In 1996, the Belarus-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation was established and continues to operate. Regular bilateral meetings are held by the subcommission on industrial cooperation and mutual trade, the working group on prospective areas of cooperation in agriculture, and the joint commission on international road transport. Coordination of scientific and technical cooperation is carried out within the Belarus-Kazakhstan commission on scientific and technical cooperation.
