MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz held a meeting in Minsk on 11 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry of Belarus.
The parties focused on ways of intensifying cooperation in the manufacturing sector.
Aleksandr Rogozhnik noted the readiness of Belarusian machine-building companies to offer Cuban partners high-quality machines: agricultural, utility, passenger, cargo. The parties are also looking into a project to supply tractor kits and assemble them in the Republic of Cuba.
For his part, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz stated that the potential of bilateral cooperation in trade and economy has not been fully used. "We need to give impetus and diversify the Belarusian-Cuban relations across the board," Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz stressed.
Following the talks, Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz supported the proposal to set up a working group on cooperation in manufacturing in order to develop specific projects and areas of cooperation.
