MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) - Belarus and Türkiye are mutually interested in increasing trade, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Türkiye Anatoly Glaz said in an interview with Belarus 1 TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
“Türkiye ranks among the top ten of our trading partners. But what's important is that we are also a highly significant trading and economic partner for Türkiye. Over the past four years, our trade has exceeded $1 billion according to Belarusian statistics, and approaches $2 billion according to Turkish data. However, this is not enough, and both parties agree that this figure can grow substantially,” the ambassador said.
According to him, the parties have the potential and willingness to enhance trade and cooperation, including through joint projects and increased deliveries from Belarus.
