Two medals for Belarus at Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix in Thiais

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Two medals were won by Belarus at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix in Thiais, France, BelTA has learned.

In the Individual All-Around event Yekaterina Galkina claimed silver with the total of 71,800 points. Dina Averina of Russia topped the podium with 74,500 points. Fellow Russian Yulia Bravikova placed third.

Belarus' Alina Gornosko finished fifth with 65,900 points, but clinched bronze in the Ribbon routine, scoring 18,200 points. Ii the same event Yekaterina Galkina was fourth (17,800 points). Dina Averina took gold with 19,400 points.

In February 2017 Yekaterina Galkina collected bronze medals in the Loop, Ball and Ribbon events at the Moscow Grand Prix.

The FIG World Cup in Pesaro, Italy is scheduled for 12-16 April.
