MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Belarus claimed seven medals at the World Championship Youth 2019 in Draughts 100 Among Juniors and Cadets in Izmir, Turkey, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Draughts Federation.
In the classic program, Belarus' Yana Yakubovich and Viktoryia Nikalayeva took silver medals. Two bronzes were claimed by Belarus' Maryia Chasnakova and Darya Nikifarava.
Belarus' Yana Yakubovich won the world champion title in the blitz program. Heorhi Vydzerka was second, and Viktoryia Nikalayeva third.
For the first time the World Championship Youth compiled the team standings. Team Belarus placed third in the classic program and second in the blitz program.
