Brest residents flocked to join the Belarus Cup title celebrations by FC Dinamo Brest in the evening of 8 June. The team paraded their trophy on a double-decker bus through the streets of the city. Later, the players were honored at the Ice Palace. Fans got a chance to mark this historic victory together with their team, talk informally with the team members, take pictures with the players and the trophy and ask for an autograph. The Brest club claimed the trophy on 28 May after winning the final against FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk in a penalty shootout. The win takes FC Dinamo Brest into the UEFA Europa League. Last time Brest lifted up the Belarus Cup trophy was in 2007, after beating FC BATE Borisov.
