MINSK 2 February (BelTA) - HС Dinamo Minsk claimed a fifth consecutive win against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on 1 February, which means the Belarusian team is one point away from confirming its KHL playoff place.

Dinamo Minsk 3-2 Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg

The home team opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with the puck deflecting from Yevgeny Chesalin's skate. Dinamo responded with two quick goals from Aaron Palushaj and Alexander Materukhin.

Alexander Pavlovich's empty netter late in the final stanza proved to be the winner, despite Michal Cajkovsky's last-minute effort narrowed the gap.

The Bisons kicked off their winning streak with a 5-4OT win against Avtomobilist on 24 January. The Belarusians then beat Ugra 4-1, edged Barys 2-1 and whitewashed Jokerit 3-0.

With 96 points after 54 games Dinamo Minsk is sixth in the West. The Bisons will next play Barys Astana on 3 February.
