Dinamo Minsk beat Ugra, take third win at home

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk made it three wins in a row and moved to within five points of a playoff spot after outlasting Ugra Khanty Mansiysk at home on 28 November, BelTA has leanred.

The home team dominated the opening exchanges but could not find the net in the first period. However, once Dinamo got its first power play of the night, the opening goal was quick to follow. Marc-Andre Gragnani scored it, 11 seconds after Daniil Ilyin was sent to the box. Alexander Pavlovich added a second marker on the PP, with Charles Linglet and Quinton Howden again providing the assists.

The final stanza saw Ugra trying to avoid an eighth successive defeat, with Tobias Viklund reducing the deficit late on. This, however, turned to be not enough for the visiting team, and the hosts took the points.

The Bisons go with 50 points after 36 games and place ninth in the West. Dinamo Minsk will next play against Salavat Yulayev in Ufa on 2 December.
