MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) - Pavel Khodasevich of Belarus claimed bronze in the snatch and finished fourth overall in the -85kg division at the Senior European Weightlifting Championships in Split, Croatia, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian lifted 160kg in the snatch phase and 196kg in the clean and jerk stage to combine for the total of 356kg for the fourth place.
Alexander Peleshenko (386kg) of Ukraine took the overall European -85kg title at the event, with Russian Artyom Okulov claiming silver (377kg) and Poland's Krzysztof Zwarycz taking bronze (358kg).
Belarus has so far won two European bronze medals in Croatia: by Lyudmila Pankova (-53kg) and Anastasia Mikhalenko (-69kg).
The Senior European Weightlifting Championships in Split will be over on 9 April.
