Belarus' duet wins at FIG Trampoline World Cup 2017 in Baku

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Tatyana Petrenya and Anna Gorchenok of Belarus won the Synchronized competition of the FIG Trampoline World Cup 2017 in Baku, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian athletes scored 49,400 points to place atop. Second were Svetlana Makshtareva and Veronika Zemlyanaya of Azerbaijan (46,350 points). The duet from Portugal, Beatriz Martins and Silvia Saiote, finished third with 45,050 points.

In the Individual competitions Tatyana Petrenya placed third with the total of 55,210 points. Russia's Susana Kochesok won the event, scoring 55,615 points. Silver went to Russia's Yana Pavlova (55,545 points). Anna Gorchenok finished seventh with 17,185 points.

Olympic champion Vladislav Goncharov of Belarus finished seventh in the final, scoring 5,490 points. In the qualifying round the Vitebsk-born athlete showed second best result of 112,055, yielding only to Russia's Dmitry Ushakov (112.990 points). Mikhail Melnik of Russia won the event with the total of 60,535. Second was Ilya Grishunin of Azerbaijan (59,890 points). Bronze went to Portugal's Diogo Abreu (59,085 points). Belarus' Oleg Ryabtsev placed fourth with the total of 58,515 points.

In the Synchronized competitions Vladislav Goncharov and Oleg Ryabtsev of Belarus scored 16,150 points to finish seventh. Pirmammad Aliyev and Danil Musabayev of Kazakhstan won the event with the total of 51,400 points.

Minsk will play host to the second FIG Trampoline World Cup on 18-19 August 2017.
