Belarus' Anna Malyshchik takes gold at 2018 European Throwing Cup

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarusian hammer thrower Anna Malyshchik took the champion title at the 2018 European Throwing Cup in Leiria, Portugal, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian third attempt of 72.62m brought her gold. Alexandra Tavernier of France finished second with 71.20m. Bronze went to Malwina opron of Poland (69.54m).

Earlier, Alyona Dubitskaya with her result of 18.47m finished second in shot putting. Gold went to Anita Marton of Hungary (19.12m).

In the Under-23 Discus Throw Viktor Trus clinched silver with his best attempt of 58.66m. Martin Markovic of Croatia took the champion title with his best of 63.24m.

In the Under-23 Javelin Throw Anna Tarasyuk won silver (56.48m). Eda Tugsuz of Turkey claimed gold with 60.92m.

The Hammer Throw event was won by Pawel Fajdek of Poland (77.30m). Belarus' Pavel Boreisha placed seventh with 74.04m.
