MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) - Belarus' Alena Omelyusik made it into the Amgen Women's Race top ten that took place in California, the United States, BelTA has learned.
One of the Canyon SRAM leaders placed eighth in the overall standings. The Belarusian finished ninth in the first two stages of the race, clocking 1 minute 39 seconds behind winner Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands (10 hours 47 minutes 33 seconds) in the general classification. The top three also included Katie Hall of the United States and Arlenis Sierra of Cuba.
The Belarusian will be next competing in Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic. Canyon SRAM is gearing up for Giro d'Italia race on 30 June.
