MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – With no medals and 25 points, Belarus placed 15th at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, BelTA has learned.
High jumper Maksim Nedasekau placed fourth. Marathoner Volha Mazuronak and long jumper Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova finished fifth. High jumper Karyna Demidik, shot-putter Aliona Dubitskaya and javelin thrower Tatsiana Khaladovich occupied sixth positions. Pole vaulter Iryna Zhuk placed seventh and hammer thrower Hleb Dudarau was eighth.
The top three countries at the competitions were the United States (14 gold, 11 silver and four bronze medals), Kenya (5, 2, 4), and Jamaica (3, 5, 3).
