BATE Borisov into UEFA Champions League third qualifying round

MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – FC BATE Borisov progressed to the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round by beating Yerevan Alashkert on the aggregate score, BelTA has learned.

After a home tie (1-1) a week ago Alexander Yermakovich's side secured a 3-1 win in Yerevan and advanced further.

BATE came from behind to secure the win. With Nenadovic (Alashkert) scoring at 18 minute, BATE's Mikhail Gordeichuk was on target twice before the break.

In the third round BATE Borisov will face Slavia Praha. The first encounter will take place either on 25 or 26 July in the Czech capital. The second-leg match will be held in Borisov Arena on 1 or 2 August.
