Azarenka pulls out from Cincinnati Open

MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) - Victoria Azarenka of Belarus withdrew from WTA Cincinnati hardcourt event due to a family matter, BelTA has learned.

"I am disappointed to have to pull out of the Western and Southern Open due to a family matter. I look forward to coming back to Cincinnati and playing in front of its great fans for many years to come,” she said.

The 2017 Western and Southern Open will kick off in Cincinnati on 14 August.

Victoria Azarenka is fighting a custody battle with Billy McKeague, the father of her eight-month-old son Leo. The court ruled that the baby should stay in Los Angeles until the custody issue is resolved.
