Anastasiya Shkurdai clinches 100m butterfly gold in Glasgow

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) - Anastasiya Shkurdai of Belarus clinched gold in the women's 100m butterfly, clocking 56.21 in the finals of the LEN European Short Course Championships 2019 that completed in Glasgow, the UK on 8 December, BelTA has learned.

Italy's Elena Di Liddo was second to touch in (56.37). Bronze went to Greece's Anna Duntunaki (56.44).

Earlier, Belarus' Ilya Shymanovich claimed silver in the men's 100m breaststroke.

The UK hosted the European short course event for the second time. The 1998 European Short Course Championships took place in Sheffield.
