Security solutions from Russia's Penza Oblast for Belarusian border service

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian border service will take a closer look at the border security solutions made in Penza Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from the website of the State Border Committee of Belarus.

The Committee's Chairman Anatoly Lappo met with Governor of Russia's Penza Oblast Ivan Belozertsev in Minsk on 7 June. The sides agreed that the Belarusian border service will examine promising samples of the border security solutions made in Penza Oblast. The possibility of buying new products was discussed as well as the possibility of upgrading the existing solutions the Belarusian border service uses.

BelTA has been told that the State Border Committee of Belarus has been cooperating with Penza Oblast enterprises since 2012. Equipment to stop moving vehicles is being deployed at Belarusian border checkpoints now. A new alarm solution made in Penza has been successfully tested at the “green” border.
