Russia's Tatarstan interested in IT education initiatives of Belarusian Hi-Tech Park

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Tatarstan is interested in IT education initiatives of the Hi-Tech Park of Belarus, BelTA learned from the Park's press service after Hi-Tech Park Director Valery Tsepkalo met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

A Tatarstan delegation led by Rustam Minnikhanov was made familiar with principles and results of the Hi-Tech Park's work. The delegation also visited the Park's business incubator where they studied a startup support system.

The source explained that the city of Innopolis was solemnly opened in Tatarstan a year ago after four years of construction. High-technology research efforts are concentrated in the city. Innopolis also has a university and a technopark of its own. This is why Tatarstan's representatives were particularly interested in the successful Belarusian experience of building a system that has enabled a strong information technology industry, explained the press service.
