MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – The organizers of unauthorized rallies use people for their own political gain, First Deputy Chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich said in an interview with the STV channel on 19 March, BelTA has learned.
Oleg Gaidukevich remarked that decree No. 3 has been suspended. “The president heard the people. He did what he should have done. The organizers of the rallies do not protest against a specific document but pursue their own political interests. They try to take advantage of the people, whom they mislead and use for personal political gain,” Oleg Gaidukevich said.
According to him, political radicals and anarchists taking part in the rallies aggravate the situation. The anarchists should be confronted because anarchism itself intends to bring violence and chaos.
Oleg Gaidukevich pointed out that anarchism and terrorism are closely interrelated. “Eventually people may suffer. I wonder whether there is a country where life has become better as a result of rallies, revolutions and anarchy. The history shows just the opposite,” the politician noted.
