CSTO Security Councils Committee to enhance fight against new threats

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas took part in a meeting of the Committee of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Astana on 24 May, BelTA learned from the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus.

The participants of the event exchanged views on the challenges and threats to collective security in the CSTO responsibility zone, considered the implementation of the decisions taken at the November 2017 session of the CSTO Collective Security Council. Documents were signed to improve the CSTO activities.

The State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus met with assistant to the President - Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev. Experts of the security councils also held bilateral consultations, discussed the results of the implementation of the bilateral cooperation plan, and also promising areas of cooperation.
