Belavia launches fourth daily flight Minsk-Kiev

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian air carrier Belavia launched the fourth daily flight between Minsk and Kiev on 22 December, BelTA learnt from Olga Gerasenko, head of advertising and communications at Belavia.

“Until today Belavia flew twice a day to Borispol Airport and once a day to Kiev International Airport (Zhulyany). As for Minsk National Airport, Belavia's flight schedule will allow transit passengers to continue their journey almost across the entire network of the air company,” Olga Gerasenko said.

The flight will depart from Minsk at 13h30 and from Kiev at 14h20 local time. The journey time is one hour.

“We are currently registering an increase in transit passengers and in order to meet the current demand a decision was taken to introduce a fourth daily flight to Kiev International Airport,” Anatoly Gusarov, Belavia Director General, explained.

Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus by the number of passengers and cargoes it transports. In January 2014 the Belarusian airline acquired a legal status of an open joint stock company. Belavia operates 27 aircraft, and offers regulars flights to 46 destinations in Europe and Asia. Belavia joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1997 and the European Regions Airline Association (ERAA) in 2010. In January-September 2015 Belavia's passenger traffic increased by 4% over the same period last year.
