Mordovia, Perm, Ryazan interested in Belarusian products, agricultural equipment

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – About 30 enterprises from Russia's Perm, Ryazan, and Mordovia take part in the Belarusian-Russian business forum, BelTA informs.

Businessmen from these regions are interested in purchasing agricultural equipment and foodstuffs in Belarus, cooperation in the manufacturing sector. “We organize such events where three regions of Russia are represented once in a while. Many Belarusian enterprises were interested in negotiations. The trade turnover with these regions did not decrease significantly in 2016, but it was smaller than in 2011-2012. We hope that the business forum will help restore the level of the previous years,” Alexander Fedorchuk, director general of the Minsk department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said.

According to Yelena Mironova, vice president of the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the delegation of Perm Krai visits Belarus for the sixth time. It includes the representatives of enterprises interested in the promotion of their products and the purchase of Belarusian goods. “Belarusian products are famous for their quality. Our enterprises are going to buy foodstuffs. Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of Perm offer industrial equipment, including for the electrochemical protection from metal corrosion, to Belarusian partners. They also offer assistance in blue-collar personnel training,” she said.

At the forum the manufacturing complex of Ryazan is represented by the producers of heating devices and equipment for the food and chemical industries, GSM alarms, smart home devices, metal powders, wet wipes, household chemicals, wickerwork, cutting instruments, rape oil, metering devices, etc.

Business representatives from Mordovia are interested in holding negotiations with the representatives of the oil processing and energy sectors, design institutes, large distributors of electrotechnical products, confectionaries, bakeries, manufacturers of foodstuffs. “There are also good prospects for the cooperation with Belarusian manufacturers of agricultural equipment, light industry enterprises,” Konstantin Pakshin, director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mordovia, said.
