Lukashenko, Poroshenko arrive in Belarus for bilateral talks

LYASKOVICHI, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko have arrived in Belarus for bilateral negotiations, BelTA has learned.

The one-on-one meetings of the heads of state will take place at the residence in Lyaskovichi. It is expected that the talks will focus on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

On 26 April, Alexander Lukashenko and Petro Poroshenko took part in the events to mark the 31st anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on the territory of Ukraine. The presidents visited the nuclear power plant and nearby facilities, inspected the construction site of the future protective shelter and the storage of nuclear wastes. They also honored the memory of Chernobyl clean-up workers and victims of the accident.
