Lukashenko, Dodon meet in Chisinau

CHISINAU, 18 April (BelTA) – The meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Moldova President Igor Dodon is taking place in Chisinau, BelTA informs.

The negotiations were preceded by an official welcome ceremony for the Belarusian head of state in front of the state residence of the Moldovan president. The two leaders welcomed each other, listened to the national anthems and went to the hall for official meetings.

During the one-on-one meeting and extended negotiations the presidents are discussing the development of the Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation, and interaction in integration formats, including within the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS.

The state residence is located in the center of Chisinau. It hosts official ceremonies during the visits of foreign leaders and heads of government, credentials ceremonies, conferment of state awards.

The residence has the Small Hall for one-on-one meetings, the Oval Hall for narrow-format and extended negotiations, the White Hall for the signing of documents and meetings with mass media representatives.
