Lukashenko: Belarusian-Turkish ties are now solidly friendly

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian nation and himself Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish nation on the 25th anniversary of Belarusian-Turkish diplomatic relations, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The message of greetings reads: “Within this comparatively short period of time Belarusian-Turkish relations became solidly friendly, acquired concrete practical content, and became an example of consistency and mutual support in complicated circumstances.”

The Belarusian head of state was confident that the effective implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Turkey President to Belarus would contribute to the advancement of fruitful bilateral cooperation, further expansion of mutually beneficial contacts between the two countries.

In turn, in his address to Alexander Lukashenko the Turkey President expressed hope that the current level of mutual understanding with regard to further advancement of cooperation will grow stronger and stronger. He is convinced that the current high level of interaction with friendly Belarus will continue growing higher.
