Trilateral contact group on Ukraine to meet in Minsk 27 January

MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – The next meeting of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine will take place in Minsk on 27 January, Leonid Kuchma's spokeswoman Darya Olifer said in her Facebook account on 20 January, BelTA informs.

“Unfortunately, the recommendations of the trilateral contact group are not fulfilled. I would like to stress that these are recommendations since we are not the body which decisions are compulsory for implementation. Without ceasefire and the maintenance of peace order, without a full-fledged withdrawal of heavy armament and the confirmation of this withdrawal by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, without the restoration of our control on the Ukrainian-Russian border it is impossible to talk about elections, amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, never mind the addressing of humanitarian and economic issues and demining activities,” Darya Olifer said citing Ukraine's representative in the trilateral contact group Leonid Kuchma as saying.

Apart from that, Ukraine expressed concerns about the recent attacks on OSCE representatives that took place in Donbass last week.
