Putin to attend Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia

MOSCOW, 9 October (BelTA) – The Kremlin has confirmed the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev, BelTA has learned.

“On 12 October Mogilev will host a plenary session of the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The session will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko,” the press service of the Kremlin said.

The forum will highlight priority areas in the development of regional cooperation as a key factor of integration and the Union State construction. The event will be also attended by heads of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, the Union State Permanent Committee, ministries and agencies, executive and legislative bodies of the Russian constituent entities and Belarusian oblasts, businessmen, public and scientific organizations.

Ahead of the plenary session Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will hold a bilateral meeting, the Kremlin said.
