More than 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war to be released

MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Parties to the Ukraine conflict will release more than 50 prisoners of war, OSCE special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik said on 13 January, BelTA has learned.

Martin Sajdik explained that this is a total number, and the exchange will not be equal. Most of the war prisoners will be released by the Ukrainian authorities.

“The parties have promised to provide more detailed information not later that next week,” he said.

The OSCE special representative added that the next meeting of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine will be held on 20 January.
