MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – The Minsk agreement on Ukraine should be implemented in full, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov told media in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Lavrov said that in 2015 Minsk witnessed the signing of a breakthrough, without exaggeration, document which was recognized by all, including members of the UN Security Council, and which as recognized the sole basis for resolving the Ukrainian crisis. The Minister stressed that the Minsk agreement must be implemented in full, without any exemptions and attempts to rewrite it.
The Minister said that during the talks with his Belarusian counterpart they exchanged views on resolving the Syrian crisis, and other issues connected with the growing terrorist threat.
