Latvian MPs to visit Belarus on 9-11 July

MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) – A Latvian parliamentary delegation will travel Belarus on 9-11 July on an official visit, BelTA learned from the House of Representatives.

The delegation will be headed by Ainars Latkovskis, the chairman of the defense, internal affairs and corruption prevention committee of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia.

The Latvian delegation is scheduled to meet with Speaker of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko, chairman of the standing committee on national security of the House of Representatives Valentin Mikhnevich, and the heads of the law enforcement and security agencies of Belarus.

The parties are set to discuss bilateral cooperation focusing on trade and economic matters, security issues, fight against corruption, regulation, border and customs controls.
