Diplomat: Work on agenda of CIS summit in Dushanbe will start soon

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – The CIS plenipotentiary representatives will soon start working on the agenda of the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State due in Dushanbe on 28 September, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan in the CIS statutory and other bodies Makhmadsharif Khakdod, BelTA has learned.

The diplomat recalled that Dushanbe will host a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council and the 28th meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State on 27 September. “We are working on the issues to be included in the agenda,” Makhmadsharif Khakdod said.

The next meetings of the CIS plenipotentiary representatives will be dedicated to this topic. Today, the CIS plenipotentiary representatives are meeting in Minsk to discuss the results of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Dushanbe on 1 June. The diplomat recalled that the heads of government reaffirmed the interest in strengthening and developing cooperation in the CIS.
