CSTO Military Committee to discuss collective security strengthening measures

MOSCOW, 23 October (BelTA) – The Military Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will discuss measures to strengthen collective security of the CSTO states in Almaty on 26 October, BelTA learned from the CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.

“There are plans to discuss the situation in the collective security zones and measures aimed at strengthening collective security of the CSTO member states,” the spokesman said.

Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the Joint Staff of the CSTO, will update members of the Military Committee on the progress made in the implementation of the main development directions of military cooperation of the CSTO member states and the procedure for organizing air defense in the CSTO Central Asian region.

The event will be attended by chiefs of the general staffs of the armed forces of the CSTO member states.
