Belarus, Sudan discuss relations during ministerial talks in Khartoum

MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Sudan discussed the entire spectrum of relations during ministerial talks in Khartoum on 27 October, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov. The Sudanese delegation was headed by State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kamal Eldeen Ismael Saeed.

During the consultations the sides discussed the entire range of bilateral affairs, including cooperation in politics, trade and economic affairs, humanitarian affairs and other spheres. Representatives of Belarus and Sudan also discussed the current situation in the region and its development prospects.

While in Sudan the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with First Vice President of the country Bakri Hassan Saleh. Valentin Rybakov also met with Minister of Petroleum and Gas Muhammad Zayid Awad, who is a co-chairman of the Belarus-Sudan cooperation commission. Valentin Rybakov also met with representatives of the ministries of industry, agriculture, investments, higher education and science, international cooperation, healthcare, and the central bank.

The sides discussed matters concerning the development of Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation in the relevant fields.
