The Antopol cotton wool and spinning factory in Drogichin District, Brest Oblast has started making wet tissues for agricultural purposes. The disposable tissues are designed for wiping the udder of milking cows. Belarusian companies have had to import such tissues up till now. The project was worked out in late 2016. The innovations fund of the Brest Oblast administration allocated Br480,000 for the project. A Turkish company won the equipment delivery tender. The equipment was delivered in June and the installation of the new line began. At present pilot batches of Belarus-made wet tissues are shipped to a number of companies in Brest Oblast and Grodno Oblast. The line can make up to 900,000 wet tissue packs per month and can satisfy the domestic demand in full.
