The construction of the first synagogue in the last 100 years is nearing completion in Griboyedova Street in Vitebsk. The two-story temple has been built using a modern design. It will feature a large hall for prayers, several classrooms, a library, administrative and auxiliary premises as well as rooms for children. The new synagogue will also have a special pool for religious observances.
