Bean geese are the second largest migrating geese in Belarus. They are often seen during autumn and spring flyby, single individuals have been observed during wintering. Large (up to several thousand) flocks are formed at stops during migration in river floodplains, in the vicinity of lakes and in marshy areas located among vast winter fields and other agricultural lands.
