MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – The first meeting of the organizing committee of the Europe vs USA athletics match in Minsk took place on 12 March under the chairmanship of Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The participants of the meeting discussed the accommodation of athletes, officials and VIP guests, training of volunteers and the logo of the competitions. They also discussed financing matters, manufacturing of awards, the readiness of Dinamo Stadium and its training venues for the event.
The match is scheduled for 9-10 September. The national teams of Europe and the United States will comprise four best athletes from each discipline. These will be first competitions of the kind in the history of world athletics.
