MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) - Belarusian athlete Olga Karpovich has become a member of the Court of Arbitration of the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM), BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Modern Pentathlon Federation.
Following the selection process, 12 arbitrators from eight national federations were approved for the UIPM Court of Arbitration. Among them is the Executive Director of the Belarusian Modern Pentathlon Federation Olga Karpovich. Functionaries from Argentina, Brazil, China, Ghana, Hong Kong, Iraq, and the United States also became members of the UIPM body.
Last week, the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) allowed Belarusian athletes under the age of 19 to compete in international event with national symbols. UIPM has also lifted the ban on holding tournaments under its auspices in Belarus.
