MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Emergencies Ministry stands ready to provide humanitarian aid to any country in case of an emergency situation, Emergencies Minister Vadim Sinyavsky told the media following the report to the Belarusian president, BelTA has learned.
The minister noted that Belarus provides humanitarian response in the interests of various countries around the world. “We have created all the necessary conditions to provide appropriate humanitarian assistance to any country affected by an emergency situation, should the need arise,” he said.
“The ministry, as the coordinator of this work, has all the necessary resources to swiftly assemble humanitarian aid in coordination with all stakeholders, organize its delivery to any country if needed, and represent the Republic of Belarus on all matters related to emergency response,” Vadim Sinyavsky noted.

“For this purpose, we have the national special response team that was certified by the United Nations last year as Heavy Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team. It is ready to carry out any assigned task. In the national interest, we have set up an additional unit modeled on the team, capable of responding to any emergency within our territory and, if necessary, abroad,” the minister stated.
