MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will play their second match of the first away tour of 2026 on 6 January, BelTA has learned.

After a trip to Chelyabinsk, Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team is now in Moscow, getting ready for a clash with HC CSKA Moscow. This comes after both teams suffered losses on 4 January: the Minsk side dropped a close game to HC Traktor Chelyabinsk (4-5), and the Moscow side was defeated by HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in a shootout (1-2). HC CSKA Moscow is on a seven-game home point streak, currently sixth in the conference with 48 points. HC Dinamo Minsk, meanwhile, leads them by nine points and ranks third in the Western Conference.

“At the last practice, we worked on the things that didn’t go well in our previous game. We didn’t show what we are capable of then, and today we have to make up for it. We are looking forward to the match,” Bisons defenseman Nicolas Meloche said. “CSKA is a good team, with a strong physical presence. We need to stick to our game plan and fight back. I think everything will be fine.”

In the current season, HC Dinamo Minsk and HC CSKA Moscow have already met three times, and on each occasion, the home team emerged victorious. On 20 October in Moscow, the hosts claimed a 5-3 win, while on 3 and 20 November at Minsk-Arena, the Minsk Bisons responded with two victories (2-0 and 5-2). The fourth and final meeting of the teams in the current regular championship will begin at 5.00 p.m.
