Belarus' wrestler Kiryl Hryshchanka triumphant at 2nd European Games

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Kiryl Hryshchanka of Belarus won gold in the Men's Greco-Roman-130kg event at the 2nd European Games on 30 June, BelTA has learned.

He defeated Russia's Sergey Semenov in semi-finals 3-1 and Georgia's Iakobi Kajaia in the final match 5-1.

Earlier, Belarusian wrestler Iryna Kurachkina won the Women's 57kg gold and Vasilisa Marzaliuk won the Women's 76kg gold. Ali Shabanau took the Men's 86kg silver. Aliaksandr Hushtyn secured the Men's 97kg bronze. Soslan Daurov won the bronze medal in the Men's Greco-Roman-67kg. Aliaksandr Hrabovik was second in the Men's Greco-Roman-97kg.

The European Games wrestling tournament featured 288 athletes competing in 18 medal events.
