Belarus miss out on 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships finals

MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes are out of medal contention at the ongoing 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Indonesia, BelTA has learned.

A team of four Belarusian gymnasts took part in the world sporting forum. In the men's competition, World Cup stage medalist Yahor Sharamkou placed 18th in the floor exercises and 28th in the vault; the top eight athletes advanced to the finals. Belarusian national champion Aleh Tsiaselski ranked 46th in the all-around qualification, with the top 24 moving forward.

In the women's competition, Alena Tsitavets finished 24th on the uneven bars and 83rd on the balance beam, while Ulyana Kuzmenkova placed 39th in the all-around. Medals in the most prestigious event, the all-around, will be contested on Tuesday (men's) and Wednesday (women's). The finals for individual apparatus are scheduled for 24-25 October.
