MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) - Belarusian speed skaters have won four medals at the Russian Speed Skating Championships in Kolomna, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.
The event featured over 100 athletes from Russia and Belarus. The Belarusian team’s haul comprised two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. Victories at the tournament were secured by Hanna Damaratskaya (500m) and Viktor Rudenko (1,500m). The silver medal in the men’s team sprint was claimed by Yauheni Hahiyeu, Mikita Mihdaliou, and Ignat Golovatsiuk, who posted a time of 1:21.13, setting a new Belarusian national record. Additionally, Belarusian Polina Sivets rounded out the podium in the women’s 5,000m event.
