MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) - We are witnessing a unique process of how the Belarus-Russia Union State will be expanding in the future, PhD in Law, expert on the operation of security agencies Sergei Karnaukhov said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“I will start with what I observed with great pleasure during the Supreme State Council meeting. In general, I look at what is going on between Russia and Belarus exactly the same way I enjoy concerts of Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff. It is absolute harmony, and that is why we listen to this music through the centuries. The same is true here. Aleksandr Grigoriyevich [Lukashenko] and Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] are ordinary people who have never built a state. No one knows how to build a new statehood. It is not written in textbooks, no one knows how to do it in modern conditions, no consultants can help, because it is a complex process, which must be started from scratch,” Sergei Karnaukhov said.
The leaders of Belarus and Russia are doing it before our eyes. “They are building a new statehood on the basis of the two countries, historical continuity, historical tradition,” the expert said. “I analyzed it for myself, and I see that everything is new here. None of the old models, including of the USSR time, fits here. Moreover, I will tell you, none of this applies, because this is modern life, in which all of this is not applicable due to many circumstances. First of all, because two independent states are united, where it makes sense not to interpenetrate and erase borders, but to develop independent cores and complement each other.”
“We are witnessing a unique process. We see how our Union State will be stitched together (directions) and expanded in the future. I can predict - Georgia has no future if it does not join the Union State. Kazakhstan has no future many times more than Georgia if it does not join the Union State. Central Asian states have no future at all, because the Taliban is nearby, Afghanistan is nearby, the unstable situation is nearby and the West is trying to worsen it. Today we are showing what is happening, including in the development of integrative relations between enterprises of military-industrial complex and civil sector. It is just a future mechanism of stitching other states with our country [the Union State]. This is a very interesting phenomenon,” Sergei Karnaukhov added.
