MOSCOW, 13 November (BelTA) - Grodno will host a meeting of the permanent seminar on the Union State development at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 20-21 November. The topic of the meeting is "State policy in culture within the framework of the Union State in the context of geopolitical changes", BelTA learned from the PA press service.
"The meeting will consider topical issues of the development of cultural and humanitarian space, the coordinated policy and the harmonization of legislation in the field of culture of Belarus and Russia. Particular attention will be paid to the role of culture in the education of young people, the importance of the family and the church in nurturing the spiritual and moral values, the improvement of joint research and activities to preserve the historical memory and cultural heritage of the two countries," the press service said.
The event will be attended by members of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Ministries of Culture of Belarus and Russia, cultural institutions, clergy, film industry, research and educational institutions of the two countries.
Founded in 2006, the Union State PA permanent seminar brings together politicians, scientists, businessmen and other supporters of the Belarusian-Russian integration to discuss current important issues related to the Union State development.
